Angband v4.2.0 (MacOS)
Angband v4.2.0 (MacOS) Angband is a free, single-player dungeon exploration game. You play an adventurer seeking riches, fighting monsters, and preparing for a final battle with Morgoth, the Lord of Darkness. Angband is a freeware, open-source computer game of dungeon exploration, based very loosely on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. You explore a very deep dungeon, kill monsters, try to equip yourself with the best weapons and armor you can find. The goal of the game is to defeat Morgoth. Angband has a very long history. It started in 1990 as an improved and "Tolkienized" variant of Moria. Moria itself was created in 1985 and was inspired by Rogue (from the late 70s). The first version of Angband was created by Alex Cutler and Andy Astrand at the University of Warwick. The notable maintainers in the 90s were Charles Swiger and Ben Harrison. In 2000, Robert Ruhlmann took over. Starting March 2006, the game was looked after by Julian Lighton, and since April 2007 by Andrew Sidwell. Starting the release of 3.5.0 on Christmas Day 2013, the game is maintained by Nick. Angband is a member of a family of similar games called rogue-likes. Other well known games of this type are Nethack, Slash'Em or ADOM. Angband, with its source code available to general public, spun a lot of variants over time - versions of the game with changes against the original Angband. The original Angband game is referred to as Vanilla Angband. Angband is dual licensed, either under the historical Moria license, or under GPLv2. Angband Releases: 4.2.0 Background 4.2.0 was slated to make big changes to two important parts of the game: classes, and monsters. While each of these was big enough to deserve a minor version increase in its own right, doing both together so they could be balanced against each other was preferred. As ...

Fawkes v0.3
Fawkes v0.3 Image "Cloaking" for Personal Privacy 2020 is a watershed year for machine learning. It has seen the true arrival of commodized machine learning, where deep learning models and algorithms are readily available to Internet users. GPUs are cheaper and more readily available than ever, and new training methods like transfer learning have made it possible to train powerful deep learning models using smaller sets of data. But accessible machine learning also has its downsides. A recent New York Times article by Kashmir Hill profiled clearview.ai, an unregulated facial recognition service that has downloaded over 3 billion photos of people from the Internet and social media and used them to build facial recognition models for millions of citizens without their knowledge or permission. Clearview.ai demonstrates just how easy it is to build invasive tools for monitoring and tracking using deep learning. So how do we protect ourselves against unauthorized third parties building facial recognition models that recognize us wherever we may go? Regulations can and will help restrict the use of machine learning by public companies but will have negligible impact on private organizations, individuals, or even other nation states with similar goals. The SAND Lab at University of Chicago has developed Fawkes1, an algorithm and software tool (running locally on your computer) that gives individuals the ability to limit how their own images can be used to track them. At a high level, Fawkes takes your personal images and makes tiny, pixel-level changes that are invisible to the human eye, in a process we call image cloaking. You can then use these "cloaked" photos as you normally would, sharing them on social media, sending them to friends, printing them or displaying them on digital devices, the same way you would any other photo. The difference, however, is that if and when someone ...

FaxTool v0.20
FaxTool v0.20 Tiny TIFF/PDF Splitter and Joiner FaxTool is a simple freeware utility for splitting and joining (merging) TIFF and PDF files. Simply drag your files onto the interface to split or join. It is a single EXE, and requires no installation. Technical Notes • The intended design approach was to provide a quick helper utility for sending and receiving fax messages, which usually come in TIFF and PDF format. • FaxTool was developed using AutoHotkey for the wrapping interface, and is using command line executables for converting the files. The command line executables are already included and compiled into the FaxTool.exe file so you do not need to download them separately. • The first time you run FaxTool, it will extract these files to your Windows temporary folder: - pdftk.exe - i_view32.exe • When Splitting - the individual pages will be placed in the same folder as the input file, sequentially named. • When Joining - the output file is named after the first file in the list, followed by "_merged". SpaceSniffer v1.3.0.2
SpaceSniffer v1.3.0.2 SpaceSniffer is a freeWare and portable tool application that lets you understand how folders and files are structured on your disks. By using a Treemap visualization layout, you have immediate perception of where big folders and files are placed on your devices. Treemap concept was invented by Prof. Ben Shneiderman, who kindly permitted the use of his concept into this tool. Start a scan process and see the overall situation. Bigger are the elements on the view, bigger are folders and files on your disk. You need more detail on a big folder? Just single click on it. The selected element will be detailed with its content. Need more and more detail? Keep selecting elements and they'll discover their secrets to you. Need a larger view of a small folder? Then double click on it, and it'll zoom to the full extent of the view. If you need to understand why no more free space is left on media, keep following bigger elements. Maybe you want to focus only on particular file types... ok. Just type the file type on the filter field (example: *.jpg) and press enter. The view will react and show you only JPEG files. Want to exclude files? Then type a starting pipe before the filter (example: |*.jpg) and press enter. The view will show everything but JPEG files. If you want to keep track of examined files you can tag them. Four colors are available. Just hover the mouse on a file and press CTRL+1 to tag it red. There are keys also for yellow, green and blue tagging. Use them as you wish. You can also filter on tags (example: :red will show only red tagges files, :all will show all tagged files and so on). You can also exclude tagged files (example: |:red will exclude ...
